2020 Reading Challenge: August Book Recommendations

2020 Reading Challenge

I invite all of you to join me in the Judging More Than Just the Cover 2020 Reading Challenge. Each month, we have a category to follow.

Pick at least one book that falls into that category. I’ll let you know what book I chose and give a few other suggestions.

Once you pick your book, make sure to tag me on social media and use the hashtag #JudgingMoreChallenge. I’ll share my favorites! At the end of the year, I’ll have lots of giveaways. I’ll pick winners based on who completed all 12 months of challenges!

A little behind? That's okay!

August Book Ideas: A Book That Takes Place on a Beach

Ah, COVID. Canceling all the fun vacations people had planned this summer. So let's take a virtual trip and live vicariously through book characters. This month’s category is a book that takes place near a beach [Or if we're being broader, any body of water...bay, marsh, lake, etc.]. It can be any genre since we are just focusing on the location. For more of a challenge, find a book where the water plays a role in the story. I will provide my top recommendations below. Feel free to pick one of those or pick a book you have been recommended.

Here are some of my recommendations for August:

More traditional beach reads:

I will be reading The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty since I loved her other books, such as Big Little Lies and The Husband's Secret.

Let me know which book you are choosing for August! And remember to tag me @judgingmorethanjustthecover and use the hashtag #JudgingMoreChallenge.
